The scope of works includes the Fire Protection and Fire Detection, Alarms and Controls Packages which encompasses the comprehensive supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of an integrated fire protection and fire detection system across the entire site. The subcontractor shall coordinate all interfaces with civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and control work and shall comply with the approved project specifications, applicable SANS/NFPA standards, statutory requirements and Employer's HSE and quality requirements.

The final scope shall include all necessary labour, supervision, specialist personnel, plant, equipment, materials, consumables, temporary works, access equipment, testing instruments, documentation and commissioning resources required to deliver a complete, functional and operational fire protection and fire detection system. Handovers shall include as-built drawings, test certificates, commissioning records, operation and maintenance manuals, training and all other required project close-out documentation.

The Fire Protection and Fire Detection, Alarms and Controls Packages consist mainly of the following WBS packages:

The appointed Contractor will be responsible for the complete execution of the graveyard fencing works, including all necessary site establishment, preparation, clearing, earthworks, supply and installation of fencing components, access gates, supervision, plant, equipment and associated activities required to deliver the works safely, efficiently and in accordance with the project requirements.

The scope of works comprises the construction of approximately 263 m of 1.5 m high graveyard fencing measured from Natural Ground Level (NGL) and the Contractor shall also accommodate the specific requirements associated with the identified Small Graveyard, including the protection of graves and memorial features and construction of the fencing in accordance with the approved layout and project drawings.

1.       Scope of Work

The required supply comprises two (2) 350 kVA, 400 V, 50 Hz, three-phase diesel generators for the Mining Area, configured as skid-mounted outdoor units, and one (1) 500 kVA, 550 V, 50 Hz, three-phase diesel generator for the Tailings Mining Area, configured as a mobile trailer-mounted unit. The generators shall be suitable for operations on diesel fuel and complete with engines, alternators, fuel systems, cooling systems, starting batteries, battery chargers, control systems and all necessary auxiliaries

The works package is expected to cover electrical systems, instrumentation systems, testing, commissioning, and trial operation.For systems with material integration risk, including electrical systems, bidders shall demonstrate OEM authorisation and OEM implementation capability,. The implementation model is supply, installation, testing, and commissioning. The subcontractor shall be responsible for equipment procurement, transportation, storage, installation, testing, commissioning and trial operation within its scope.

1.1    Objective

l  Complete the electrical and  instrumentation systems in accordance with project specifications.

l  Comply with applicable Rio Tinto, RBM, South African statutory and regulatory requirements.

l  Meet occupational health, safety, environmental, quality and documentation management requirements.

l  Achieve reliable, maintainable and expandable system performance for safe and stable start-up of the process systems.

l  Complete Single-unit test run, assist in completing interlock testing and commission, system water run, loaded testing and commissioning and final handover in accordance with the approved schedule.

The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the following process areas：DMU（Dry Mining Unit #1 #2，Circuit Water to DMU #1 #2, ROM from DMU #1 #2）、Main Process Plant (Feed Preparation，Concentrator #1 #2，Water and Slimes Handling)、Services and General – Process Plant（Compressed Air, HVAC, Workshop，Sewerage System，Potable Water）、HMC Handling on Lease（Stockpiling，Reclaiming ，Head PD Pump Station）、Tailings Disposal(Coarse Tailings Stacker #1 #2, Coarse Tailings to Stacker #1 #2, Coarse Tailings Return Water #1 #2, Fine Tailings Return Water)、Raw Water Pump Station、Booster PD Pump Station. Quantities marked as to be confirmed remain subject to design institute confirmation.

The successful contractor shall possess demonstrated experience in large-scale earthworks, slope stabilization, erosion protection systems, drainage construction, revegetation works and associated civil infrastructure.

The minimum scope of supply shall include, but not be limited to, the following:

·         Site establishment, mobilisation, and demobilisation.

·         Site inspection, survey, setting out, and verification of excavation limits.

·         Identification and protection of existing underground and above-ground services.

·         Bulk excavation and preliminary mechanical formation of cut slopes.

·         Formation of permanent slopes to a design gradient of 1 Vertical: 2.5 Horizontal (1V:2.5H).

·         Manual trimming and finishing of slope faces

·         Removal of unstable and loose material.

·         Installation of galvanized chain-link (gabion) mesh.

·         Installation of U-shaped soil nail staples.

·         Installation of erosion control systems.

·         Two-stage application of organic substrate by hydraulic spraying.

·         Supply and installation of non-woven geotextile fabric.

·         Vegetation establishment and slope greening.

·         Construction of toe intercepting drainage ditches.

·         Construction of platform drainage ditches.

he successful supplier shall provide a complete solution for the manufacture, supply, quality assurance, testing, packaging, and delivery of HDPE geomembrane lining materials required for the construction of the project water reservoir. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the following: • Detailed engineering support and technical documentation for the supplied HDPE geomembrane. • Manufacture and supply of approximately 28,500 m² of 2.0 mm smooth High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) geomembrane. • Supply of geomembrane rolls suitable for field welding and installation. • Factory quality control, inspection, testing, and certification in accordance with applicable international standards. • Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), where applicable. • Supply of all quality certificates, material test certificates, and compliance documentation. • Supply of recommended repair materials, welding consumables (if applicable), and spare materials. • Supply of recommended repair materials, welding consumables (if applicable), and spare materials. • Provision of installation guidelines, storage recommendations, and handling procedures.
